Education & Training
I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, LMFT, in the State of Oregon. I earned my Master’s Degree in Couples, Marriage, & Family Therapy from Portland State University in 2011. I also holds a Bachelor of Science in Cross-Cultural Ministries & Bible from Manhattan Christian College in Manhattan, KS.
Philosophy and Approach
Everyone has the capacity, and right, to achieve an optimal state of emotional and mental health. With the training and experience that I have, I am able to assist individuals, couples, and families through the difficult process of confronting struggles, resolving challenges, and achieving goals.
Additionally, it is my commitment to facilitate and enhance self-actualization whenever possible. We all, as individuals, are at different levels of self awareness and self acceptance which often causes the process to take time to achieve. The process of Therapy will work to encourage the highest possible functioning in the life arenas of each individual.
I utilize an eclectic approach with a primary emphasis on Emotional Focused Couples & Family Therapy, Client-Centered Counseling, and Structural Family Therapy.
